Attorney Mariela Murillo
Mariela is an attorney practicing in family and immigration law, licensed by the State of California. She is authorized to practice immigration law in all fifty states.
Mariela's early career focused on public service at various levels of government—local, state, and federal—including as an Immigration Officer with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) under the Department of Homeland Security.
After being admitted to the California Bar in 2015, Mariela quickly dedicated herself to serving communities in need. In 2016, she earned the Wiley W. Manuel Certificate for Pro Bono Legal Services from the State Bar of California.
In 2018, driven by her passion for advocating for the vulnerable and marginalized, Mariela began working as minor’s counsel, which ultimately led to the establishment of her own practice. She continues to fight for those who need support the most, ensuring they receive the guidance and representation they deserve.
Throughout her legal career, Mariela has worked for the State of California, nonprofits in Orange and Ventura Counties, and as of-counsel for prominent private law firms across California.
Mariela takes great pride in her community and is deeply committed to empowering her clients. She believes in providing valuable, relevant information and offering approachable guidance that clients can trust and confidently follow.
Mariela has also served as Secretary/Treasurer of the Orange County Bar Association Immigration Law Section and currently serves as its Chairperson.
Fluent in English, Spanish and conversational in Brazilian Portuguese, Mariela enjoys running outdoors, exploring new coffee shops, and traveling with her son and husband in her free time.
